In rehab, writing became my sanctuary, a place where I could finally confront the deep pain that had silently festered within me for years – the absence of a father figure during my formative years.
With each stroke of the pen or tap of the keyboard, I unearthed the profound longing to know the man whose absence left an indelible void in my life.
Through the cathartic act of putting words to my emotions, I began to comprehend the roots of my simmering anger.
